Over the past two years I have been (very) slowly building a shipping container into a home. That process has turned me on to design. I am trying to create as much of my home’s structure and belongings as possible: doors, windows, furniture, cookware, etc.
The body of this wood stove is made from two halves of a double-basin cast iron sink. The mechanical bits and hardware are old machine parts from a belt factory in San Francisco. The stove is complete with intake and outtake baffles. I also created a redirect chamber that forces hot air along the underside of the stove top for cooking.
